These scientists feel the WHO and CDC are wrong about the prevalence of aerosol transmission.

Clearly there is aerosol transmission in shared rooms, as has occurred

. But a very clear pattern emerges, that indoors is needed for superspreading, and it is helped by long time, crowding, low ventilation, no masks, and talking and especially singing / yelling. E.g. lots of outbreaks occur in

Well a lot of people wear masks on the train in Japan anyway, I could see them just doing it all the time these days. It’s a very clean place in general. When I first lived there it was a little off putting haha.

I find it best to avoid both transmissions and engines becoming aerosols...
But that’s just me.

Yes, paying attention to these things is the way to get on top of it. When I’m cycling by myself, I’m not wearing a mask like others I see, but in any indoor space, I have it on. Knowledge is power.

The epidemiologist and other docs I’ve been talking to since this started have all said basically the same thing. They say dosage is a major factor in likelihood of catching it. i.e. run in to use the bathroom with a mask on? low dosage. Gather round a stage in a tiny bar for 3 hours while some sweaty guy yell sings at you? HUGE dosage.

Which is why I think it’s hilarious that the one person I personally know who doesn’t believe in the virus OR masks is a high school choir teacher. Good luck with that, lady.

There are some intersections around me where there gets to be a traffic jam of bikes. There's about a two mile stretch where I'll wear a mask cycling, but outside of that area I generally won't when I'm peddling.

That’s the point, isn’t it. Know the principles behind the procedures and act accordingly.

Route of exposure could play a role too, but hasn’t been studied too much. Eye pro might help.
